PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
In 1962, when Mort started his career in industrial/commercial real estate at Greiner Maltz, the Long Island Expressway did not extend into Suffolk County. The top Nassau County industrial rentals were $1.50/sf gross and the top office rentals were $5.00/sf gross.
In the 55 years he has been involved in the LI commercial marketplace he has completed in excess of 25 million square feet of commercial/industrial sale and lease transactions representing major clients including BJ’s Wholesale Club, Entenmann’s Baking Co, H&R Block, CitiFinancial, National Construction Rental, Hardware Specialties and HiTech Pharmacal.
Prior to joining the Metro Realty team in 2008, Mort had his own company, Penguin Realty for 15 years and was a Senior Managing Director in Rick Kreindler Associates, Island Realty and Grubb & Ellis.
